Lest you thought Urban Decay was solely a cosmetics brand (and a supersuccessful one at that), prepare to have your mind blown: The beauty giant that brought you the glittery, statement-making Afterdark palette is officially moving into the skin-care world with its soon-to-launch Urban Decay Rehab Makeup Prep line.
What’s the Urban Decay Rehab Makeup Prep line, you ask? In short, it’s a six-piece collection filled with products to “scrub, cleanse, revitalize, and hydrate” skin, according to the brand’s social media accounts. Basically, all your skin-care essentials, plus a little more. There’s the Pretty Gritty Skin Polish, which is made with rose-hip-seed powder to exfoliate and coconut oil to hydrate and nourish skin; the moisturizing Hot Springs Hydrating Gel (its name alone is pretty cool, TBH); the Oxygenated Bubble Mask to brighten and give skin a lit-from-within glow; the Pore Refining Peel made with “plant extracts”; the Moisture Layer Eye Roller, made with hyaluronic acid to plump puffy eyes; and finally, there’s Lip Love, which, just as its name suggests, is formulated with nourishing shea butter to give your skin a little extra TLC (especially in this weather).
But there’s also another line, called the Meltdown Makeup Removers, which features the oil-free Dissolving Spray with vitamin E, the Cleansing Oil Stick made with turmeric, and the vitamin E–spiked Lip Oil Stick. Needless to say, with three products to try, you’re bound to find at least one to take off your smudgy waterproof mascara at the end of the day.
Unfortunately, we’ve yet to get our hands on the lines, so we can’t speak of its efficacy, but if the fan-favorited pigment-packed palettes (hi, Naked 1, 2, and 3) and the recently revamped Vice Lipstick vault are any indication of the formulas to come, there’s only one real way to describe the the collections: They’re going to be good. So until we know more (i.e., pricing, availability, etc.), keep checking back here to stay in the loop.
